Founding Partner: Helen Webb - MBACP DIP (Warwick)
Following my qualification as a Counsellor and Psychotherapist from Warwick University, I worked therapeutically with young children in a preschool setting while also establishing my private practice. My growing passion for supporting children and young people with their emotional and mental health led to the establishment of Snowford Grange Counselling & Psychotherapy Ltd with my colleague Steve Goodrem. This marked the beginning of my work in primary schools, which I continue to pursue, feeling as energised and committed to working in this environment today as I did 15 years ago! Our business has evolved and grown substantially over the years, and I continue to manage it alongside Steve.
In addition to my counselling work in schools, I am part of the pastoral team supporting parents and carers. I also run various group work sessions for children, deliver staff training, and provide counselling support to teaching and support staff.
I maintain a thriving private practice in Leamington Spa, where I work with both young people and adults. With younger clients, my work is informed by a play therapy approach, while my practice with adolescents and adults is rooted in the person-centred modality I originally trained in.
I have gained extensive knowledge and expertise in working with children and young people and hold additional qualifications in Play Therapy, Child Psychology, and Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy (DDP)—an attachment-based modality specialising in therapeutic work with families who have fostered or adopted children. I run therapeutic workshops and short courses for children, offer support sessions for parents, and develop and deliver training courses for professionals working with children.
“I have worked with Snowford Grange and Helen Webb for over 20 years and the positive impact their counselling has had on so many children is immeasurable. Aside from their highly professional approach and flexibility in supporting with our children, the counsellors we work with are enormously valued by children and staff for the skill and insight they bring to this critical part of school life. Parents feel highly supported by Helen and this provision is key to our ‘team around the child’ approach. Whatever your counselling needs, I recommend Snowford Grange to you wholeheartedly.”

Founding Partner: Steve Goodrem - MBACP DIP (Warwick)
After completing my training in counselling and psychotherapy at Warwick University, I began my career in the mental health sector. This experience highlighted the importance of early intervention, which led to the co-founding of Snowford Grange Counselling & Psychotherapy Ltd with my colleague, Helen. Over the past 15 years, we have seen our organisation grow steadily, reflecting our commitment to providing exceptional counselling services.
I have extensive experience collaborating with schools to promote the emotional well-being of children and young people. I also support school staff through counselling and supervision, addressing their mental health needs. My practice encompasses a diverse range of clients, including adults, children, and young people, across private practice, schools, and various workplace settings.
As a fully qualified clinical supervisor, I guide fellow counsellors and psychotherapists in maintaining ethical standards and prioritising their well-being. I also offer counselling and supervision services to staff in schools and workplaces, helping them navigate the emotional demands of their roles.
Additionally, I consult with counselling programmes to create placement opportunities for degree and MSc students. In this capacity, I serve as an industry advisor, ensuring that curricula meet the practical needs of the profession and adequately prepare students for successful careers in mental health.
My work focuses on enhancing emotional well-being, supporting practitioners, and fostering a culture of mental health awareness. I am dedicated to making a positive difference in people's lives and contributing to society in this meaningful way.
If you are seeking support or guidance with your mental health, I encourage you to make contact. Together, we can work towards enhancing your emotional well-being and achieving your goals.
“We have found Steve to be extremely professional, compassionate, and flexible in his approach. Steve creates a safe, non-judgmental environment in which staff feel comfortable discussing both work-related and personal challenges. His deep understanding of the issues faced within an educational setting is invaluable. The support he offers is not only practical but also grounded in a realistic understanding of the demands of the working world.”
