Supervision & Support for School Staff
Snowford Grange offers weekly, monthly, or half-termly supervision models designed to support school staff in both their professional and personal well-being and development. We also provide supportive supervision for safeguarding and pastoral staff, to ensure that they have effective guidance and support.
Helping your staff thrive in their valued role.
Schools are being expected to take on higher-level safeguarding & pastoral care demands
The added pressure on schools can create greater challenges for staff, and schools have a duty of care, not only to their pupils, but also to their staff, to ensure a high level of safeguarding competence among them. Providing appropriate supervision and support for safeguarding leaders and pastoral staff is becoming essential and is reinforced by the Ofsted Framework, which states:
“Staff and other adults receive regular supervision and support if they are working directly and regularly with children and learners whose safety and welfare are at risk.”

How Can Snowford Grange Help?
Proven Experience with Schools
Snowford Grange has over 15 years of experience working alongside primary and secondary schools, as well as SEND provisions, and we currently collaborate with over 15 schools to provide counselling and supervision services for staff.
Through our supervision services, we aim to ensure that:
Staff develop the knowledge, skills, and professionalism needed to deliver the best outcomes for children, young people, and their families.
Staff work safely and feel adequately supported and equipped to excel in their safeguarding and pastoral roles while maintaining their own well-being.
Schools have formalised and effective supervision and support services in place for key safeguarding and pastoral staff, benefiting the entire school community.
Our team of qualified counsellors and psychotherapists understands the challenges facing schools and the impact these challenges can have on the well-being of children, young people, and staff. We will work with your staff to provide supportive and effective supervision, ensuring they fulfill their pastoral and safeguarding responsibilities while maintaining their own well-being.
Finding the Right Practitioner
We have developed a diverse team of over 40 qualified and experienced counsellors and psychotherapists, many of whom possess specialised supervision training. This enables us to assess your staff’s supervision needs and match them with a practitioner who has the appropriate expertise in those areas.
A Flexible & Tailored Approach
We believe in a customised approach rather than a one-size-fits-all solution, recognising that each school has unique needs and budgets. By understanding your staff's requirements, we tailor our supervision and support services accordingly. We offer flexible supervision models—weekly, monthly, or half-termly—that can be adjusted as your needs change. To minimise disruption to the school day and for convenience, sessions can also be conducted online.

“The Snowford Grange team not only supports the children, but they also offer support to our staff. We arrange half-termly check-ins for our DSL team to provide reflective supervision, allowing them to discuss challenging casework and support staff who may be struggling with issues in or outside of work. We believe that the support offered helps all staff involved and reduces potential staff absences.”
